Shinwari Dera

An excellent and spacious Afghan restaurant with separate seating areas for the family. It also serves many and varied dishes of meat, chicken and fish. I tried the meat grilled over charcoal and it was the most delicious I have ever tasted. Also, the meat and biryani rice is frankly very delicious. The waiters’ behavior was elegant and polite, and they strive to serve you with all respect. The place is very comfortable. The only note is that the music is a little loud, which may disturb those who want to be calm.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shinwari Dera Restaurant and overall, my experience was fantastic. The food was incredibly flavorful, and the service was commendable. The Lamb Charsi Karahi was a highlight; the flavors were rich and satisfying. My only suggestion would be to add a little more sauce to enhance the dish even further. The grill chops and wings were absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection with a delightful blend of spices. While most of the meal was exceptional, I found the lamb kebab and chicken kebab to be lacking in comparison. These dishes could use a bit more attention to reach the same standard as the rest of the menu. Despite this minor setback, the excellent service and the majority of the dishes more than made up for it. I look forward to returning and enjoying more of what Shinwari Dera has to offer!

A meal with friends from out of town. Came here by recommendation. It looked very traditional. There was an area for floor seating. There were family booths with curtains to provide more privacy. The food was delicious. I can't remember the names of the dishes, except one was a Cod Karahi. I would return again. It's good food good value, great service and atmosphere.

Very good food, can't fault it, but above all else, customer service is impeccable. I dined here and forgot my retainers in a tissue which got thrown into the bin. The owner himself got stuck in and we sifted through bag after bag of rubbish, getting his workers to also help. We found them eventually but what a top man. Thank you very much

The food was so good, it tasted just like authentic Afghan food. The portions were generous and the green tea was amazing. I also loved the Pashto music playing in the background.

Most tasty lamb karahi and chappli kebab so far in uk at very affordable rates. Lot of appreciation for the Chef and the staff is also friendly.

We had pleasure to dine here today, and had an excellent experience. They have private spaces for the families with curtains. The food served to us was very authentic and similar to what we have in Peshawar. We had lamb charsi tikka, lamb charsi karahi, chapli kebab and qabli pulao. Charis tikka were extremely tender and juicy, chapli kebab were nice and charsi karahi along with pulao were authentic. The staff were all very welcoming, helpful, and pleasant. We will definitely return in future insha'Allah. 10/10 for the food, staff and environment
